Staciann Marcucci
Owner/Instructor

Staciann Marcucci has in excess of 30 years dance experience. She has studied dance in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip-Hop. Staci has trained with the Philadelphia Civic Ballet Co., Jr. Waves Dance Troop, and also is a former student of the Performing Arts High School. As a dancer, Staci has performed in Philadelphia , New Jersey , and New York . She has performed with Tony Grant, Master Jay of Waves, P.A.L. Children's Dance Theater and the P.C.B.C.

Staci began her career as a dance educator over 12 years ago and has taught individuals from ages 3 to adult. She has taught competition lines in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and Hip-Hop and has won numerous awards for these lines. Staci continues to educate herself through workshops and classes. She has also recently engaged in performing once again. Staciann currently took over as owner/dance educator of Motion N' Dance with the goal of taking dance to a whole new level where dancers perform with passion and purpose.

 
Jill Comport
Ballet Instructor

Jill grew up in Laguna Hills , Ca, where she studied ballet with Derva Snider and Joanna Kneeland.  She also trained on summer scholarships with Boston , Milwaukee , and Pennsylvania Ballet schools, and was a Trainee with the Joffrey Ballet in New York .  Mrs. Comport also studied with Jillana, David Allan, Afshin Mofid, Larry Rosenberg, Diane Hanlon, and the faculty of the acclaimed dance program of the University of California , Irvine .  Jill was a professional ballerina, dancing with Oakland Ballet, San Francisco Opera Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, Eugene Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre , Nevada Dance Theatre, Ballet Pacifica, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, as well as performing extensively as a principal guest artist. 

Mrs. Comport was trained to teach by Derva Snider, who was trained by the legendary Antony Tudor, Eugene Loring and the UCI Dance Dept faculty.  She has been teaching ballet and pointe for 25 years.  Jill was the ballet instructor from 1990 to 1995 for the famed Idyllwild Arts Academy 's Summer Dance Intensives, teaching intermediate and adv ballet, pointe, and variations, and choreographing 20 classical ballet pieces for Culmination Performances.  She taught for more than 10 years at Jimmie De Fore Dance Center, the West Coast version of NY's Broadway Dance Center.  She also helped develop ballet programs at recreations centers in Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach , Ca, as well as teaching workshops and master classes for local dance studios.

Mrs. Comport taught for several years at Toni Schwartz School of Dance in Levittown, and currently teaches ballet and pointe at the Annenberg Center at the University Of Pennsylvania , and in Mayfair at the best dance studio in the area, Motion N Dance. 

   
Nicholas Pesini
Instructor

Nicholas began his dance training at the then brand new Motion N' Dance studio under the tutelage of its original directors, Mary and Bobby Gee. Since the start of his career, he's won many awards at both regional and national levels and has performed at various locations throughout the tri-state area; in Branson, Missouri; and Las Vegas. As a freshman, Nick attended the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Acts as a dance major and furthered his training in various ballet, modern, and jazz techniques and made many appearances with the CAPA Dance Company. Since graduating from high school Nick has slowly made the transition from student into the role of teacher/choreographer at Motion n' Dance. Under the studio's new direction, Nick will continue passing on not only his gift and passion for dance to the next generation coming up behind him; but also the legacy and to the next generation coming up behind him; but also the legacy and standard of tap excellence handed down to him from Mary and Bobby Gee.

   
Siobhan Hogan
Instructor

Siobhan has been dancing for about 13 years with Motion n' Dance. While attending Saint Bernard's grade school, she participated in talent shows and school musicals. Siobhan proceeded to Saint Hubert's High School and continued involving herself in musicals and participated in the orchestra, playing the clarinet. Siobhan loves to dance and working with children. She started out teaching at Motion n' Dance as a student teacher 4 years ago.

Siobhan is currently enrolled at Holy Family University in Elementary Education/Special Education as her major. After graduation in December, she plans on pursuing her teaching career with dance and education. She is so excited to be working with all of these students and is excited that we all can be one big family.

   
Jaye Allison
Instructor

Jaye Allison MFA is Founding Director / choreographer of New LEJA Dances the co., Philly TAP Challenge “ON FIRE!” and has celebrated her 28 th year in the performing arts world. Jaye has danced professionally with Philadelphia Civic Ballet Company (PCBC Project Director), Power 99 FM, TapTeam II & Co. , Philadanco and Dancefusion. She is a graduate of: Philadelphia H. S. for the Creative and Performing Arts, University of the Arts, Community College of Philadelphia, and received an Arts Management Certificate from University of MA Amherst also her BFA AND MFA from Ashwood U. Recipient of grants from: Pa. Council on the Arts, 5-County Arts and the Leeway Foundation to name a few. She also appeared in movies, “Beloved”, “Rocky III”, and several music videos. Jaye currently trains students in Modern, Tap, Jazz and Ballet at the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center, Center in the Park, Motion-N-Dance, Progressive Center for Dance, Arch Bishop Ryan Color Guard, Haddon Heights High Voltage Color Guard and Miss Sandy's Dance Steps. Miss Allison also judges Faces of the Future Competition in King of Prussia, PA.

   
Brittany Lowell
Instructor

Brittany Lowell is a Philadelphia native who began her professional dance career at the age of 14 upon acceptance into the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. Brittany has choreographed many dance pieces for numerous showings including the Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington , DC . She received a teaching internship her senior year of high school and knew from then on that being a dance instructor was the main focus in her life. Brittany was an active member of CAPA's touring Dance Company. She was also featured in the Teddy P. Brains children's DVD, as well as the LIFEKNOCKS music video documentary on lupus awareness. After graduating from CAPA in 2006, Brittany was accepted into the University of the Arts and studied there for one year. She is now continuing her education as a kinesiology major. Currently she works at Sesame Place as a very good “friend” of Elmo and continues her 3 rd year teaching at Motion N Dance.
